Georgians for Isakson Campaign Internship (posted 7/31/10)

Georgians for Isakson is looking for interns with a variety of skills capable of helping with many tasks around the office including assisting Media Director, Political Director, and Fundraising Team. Individual must be comfortable making phone calls and answering the phones as well as representing the campaign at various events.

The office is located in Atlanta off Cumberland Drive. Both full and part-time positions are available to all majors and class levels. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, and this internship is unpaid.

Interns must be proficient in Word and Excel as well as capable of taking on several tasks at once. A basic understanding of the political campaign system and procedures and a keen interest in politics is important. Strong comfort level in answering phones and making calls is a must. Night and weekend availability is preferable.

Governor’s Internship Program (posted 7/21/10)

The Governor’s Intern Program is looking for bright, hardworking and enthusiastic people to intern at the State Capitol during fall 2010. Interns work in a fast-paced environment and enjoy many opportunities to learn more about politics, state government and the legislative process.

Each intern is assigned to a department within the Governor’s Office based on his or her interests and skills. Potential placements include Policy, Communications, Government Affairs, Executive Appointments and Constituent Services.

The application process is highly competitive. Applicants may be college juniors or seniors, recent graduates or graduate students. All majors are encouraged to apply and interns will receive an hourly stipend based upon their education level. The fall internship will start August 23rd and end December 17th. Interns are required to work 20 to 40 hours per week.
